FCC Approved Toshiba TG02 Smartphone

FCC has approved the successor to the Toshiba TG01 smartphone. Dubbed as the Toshiba TG02, the phone sports WiFI 802.11b/g and Bluetooth connectivity. However, the Toshiba TG02 doesn’t support 3G. New Samsung S5620 Monte Picture Unveiled





Samsung will release a successor to the previously released Samsung S5600 Preston. Known as the Samsung S5620 Monte, this handset will feature a 3-inch touchscreen display, HSDPA, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS support and a microSD memory card slot. The S5620 Monte will also support Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface. No word on when the Samsung S5620 Monte will be available for purchase. We will keep you posted.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy 2 will be powered by Google’s Android OS, possibly Android 2.1. The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera, a 32GB internal memory, GPS and WiFi. This handset is a good competitor for the Nexus One and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. KDDI and Okinawa cellular have collaborated to launch three new colorful clamshell handsets. Dubbed as the Lotta (Produced by Kyocera), these cell phones will be available in White, Green, and Yellow and each one is represented with an embedded number 3, 7 and 5, respectively. For your info, the name “Lotta” means “a lot of fun”. The handset boasts a large 2.8-inch LCD display, a 2MP camera with an LED flash, a microSD card slot for expanding memory and GPS.

New Vodafone 547 Touchscreen Phone


Vodafone is reportedly preparing to launch their own touchscreen phone namely the Vodafone 547. Manufactured by ZTE (one of Vodafone’s main ODM partners), the handset is said to feature a touchscreen display, an accelerometer sensor, a Mobile TV and support GSM/EDGE connectivity. Nokia Research Center (NRC) Helsinki has proudly introduced the mobile radar concept at Demo House 2010 research exhibition in Espoo, Finland. The demo shows how a mobile device can use an active radar sensor to measure speed and the direction of movement of approaching objects. It uses electromagnetic waves to provide a different type of mobile wireless sensing.
