Bluehost Review Website Hosting Provider

http://www.besthosting101.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/bluehost.jpg
Based in Utah, Bluehost is one of the top providers of shared website hosting. It was founded in 1996 and the very fact that it is still going strong and is placed in most web hosting provider top ten lists means that should be considered if you are looking for hosting.
Package offered
The first thing a Bluehost review needs to look at is the packages on offer. Actually this is not necessary as Bluehost keep it simple and only offer one package. This is a linux shared hosting package which (at the time of writing) is priced at $6.95 per month and you can sign-up and pay for 12, 24 or 36 months. The prices on the sign-up page are for new customers so on renewal the charge will be $8.95 for 12 months, $7.95 for 24 months and $6.95 for 36 months.
During the first 30 days there is a money back guarantee, which means you can request a full refund, after this you can cancel and get a pro-rata refund at any time.
You can include a domain name in the package free and it continues to be free as long as you stay with Bluehost. If you take up this option you need to be aware that there is a $10 charge against any refund, to cover the cost of the domain name which you will continue to own.
The package includes, bandwidth, storage, domains and email addresses on an "unlimited" basis. It is worth reading the Terms to understand what "unlimited" means.
The package is comprehensive and provides support for every technology most users will need including multimedia and ecommerce features. One click installs are provided for many popular software packages (including WordPress). A site builder is included as is cPanel to help manage everything.
There are a few optional extras which you can pay for including additional domain names, a dedicated IP address, SSL Certificates, Mail Filtering and Domain Privacy.
Technical Service
Bluehost has a reputation for providing a fast reliable service and many people are very happy with it. It does seem though that recently (late 2010) there has been an increase in user comments about downtime.
Support Service
Support is provided 24/7 by phone, chat and a help desk system. Bluehost reviews from their users are generally favourable reporting that it is easy to make contact with support staff. A few said that support staff could have been more helpful but no company will ever satisfy everybody.
Other Customer Comments
I saw a few negative comments about renewals and sites being taken down but the company seemed to be working within its terms and conditions. It is a good idea to read these to understand what is acceptable what isn't.
Conclusion
Apart from there being no Windows hosting, the only drawback with Bluehost is the lack of any upgrade path if your site was to outgrow shared hosting. If that is a risk you would be better going elsewhere to begin with.
A hosting provider that has been in the business for so long is clearly doing something right and if you are in the market for linux shared hosting the conclusion of this Bluehost review is that Bluehost is a good choice.

VPS Hosting - A complete Review

http://www.dotstercoupons.org/images/dotster-vps-hosting-promo.gif
With the continuous growth of the World Wide Web, it has quickly become a way to promote a network or market a business. Anyone can have a page on the internet and most do thanks to social networking sites. Whether the page is for business or pleasure, everyone seems to want or need one. This is a great advancement in technology and there are no signs of it slowing down. You may already have a page that is inexpensive as far as monthly costs go. It is likely that you are on a shared server and have not yet upgraded to VPS hosting. Shared servers are one server shared by different accounts.
What this means is that there are many different websites operating on one operating system. The big advantage with using a shared server is that it is cost efficient. One of the main disadvantages is that since every website shares the operating system there is the possibility that what your website needs to use may not be there for actual usage. If there is a problem with one website, it is likely that all websites on that server will also deal with an issue. A dedicated is one server for one website. If a person has a big business it is likely they have a dedicated server and are not using VPS hosting.
The advantage to dedicated servers is that the webmaster has total and complete control over every aspect of their website. These servers are usually for those that have or expect to have a lot of traffic to their page, but the cost is more than most businesses would care to pay. VPS hosting is a fairly new type of server and proves to be an alternative choice for those business minded people that need something bigger than the shared server can provide but not yet ready for a dedicated server.
With VPS hosting you get the freedom and flexibility that dedicated servers can provide for them without the higher cost. Virtual private servers are still shared servers but they are partitioned to make each server more individual. This gives the webmaster more control over their webpage. These servers offer a lot of freedom but there are some limitations on usage for each individual. This helps keep the prices down. Virtual private servers have the benefits of both shared and dedicated servers but they also have the same disadvantages.

DDoS Protected Hosting Providers

Businesses hunting for DDoS protected hosting providers find themselves feeling that it is just too expensive to get the protection from DDoS attacks that they desperately need. With the growth of financial, gambling, and other high-risk websites, you are constantly at the mercy of DDoS attackers that are looking to bring down your business in just minutes while it took you months (or even years) just to set it up. However, when you want the protection you need to stop these attacks, why does it cost $150-2200 a month?
Their equipment is expensive.
One DDoS protected hosting provider spent $52,000 in equipment just for fighting against very high-profile DDoS attacks. There are companies out there that sell DDoS protection equipment as high as $300,000, making the industry a very low-competitive one. It is very frustrating and tiresome for those who want to start a business in that industry. That frustration carries on to you, as the monthly pricing is very high to make up for the high cost of the equipment as well as the large amount of money that is spent yearly on just maintenance alone.
The DDoS protected hosting providers industry has very little competition.
This turns into bad news for you if you are seeking that DDoS protection, because you can very easily be overcharged simply when there is no competitor available to offer the same thing (or more) for less money. This means that a lot of businesses struggling on their own cyber security end up feeling it is not worth the investment to get protection prior to a website attack. The only time people feel they must buy protection is they become victims of such attacks. This is the reason why so many businesses remain unprotected while technology, new equipment, and new research makes doing DDoS attacks a frighteningly simple task to do for many individuals with ill-intentions.
DDoS protected hosting providers rarely can offer discounts.
Consumers complain to DDoS protected hosting providers all the time about high prices. Providers would love to offer discounts, but their income ratio is too low to meet expenses. In layman terms, they don't get a lot of customers, meaning that they not only do not have to be competitive, they also have to be desperate. These situations are common for many of these hosting providers.
The reasons above are the blame for the expensive industry. While research and technology improves dramatically to combat DDoS attacks, it ends up being accessible only to the high-profile sites. The prices still scare away just about everyone else. Buyers who are looking to invest into the industry are worried if they will even be able to afford it, while sellers are worried if they will even get a sufficient amount of profit from a huge investment. The only way they can survive is to market to victims of DDoS attacks that understand the importance of DDoS protection, or those who are afraid to become victims. When it comes to affordable pricing in this industry, it is very difficult for not just you as a business wanting protection, but for everyone in the industry itself.

Godaddy Hosting Plan Review

http://www.getresponsereview.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/godaddy.jpeg
Building a website is easier than ever these days. There are a wide variety of tools available to make it much easier to do soWith Godaddy . But there might be a time when you might need to transfer your registration, website hosting, or both!
This article will help you understand the easiest way to transfer your website hosting and domain registration with Godaddy and completely avoid downtime and the many different frustrations that might arise during the transfer process. It takes only a few extra steps and some planning, but by following the correct process you can completely eliminate any downtime on your websites and actually save yourself some time in the transfer process as well.
First: Some Research on your website
Before beginning, you should know what was used to build your website, and what would be involved in transferring the content to the new hosting provider. Static.html files, for example, involve moving just files (your new hosting company should be able to help you with re-uploading your website: your old hosting company should be able to help you with the download to your local computer). Other types of websites (blogs, web-stores, and other database-driven applications) require more work because you also need to backup the database, restore it to the new hosting provider, as well as move the files themselves and make any necessary adjustments to fine-tune the application to the new hosting environment. In those cases, you should find out what was used to build your website, and then search for a migration guide specific to that application. You might also discover that the tools that you used to build your website are proprietary tools specific to that hosting provider, in which case transferring the files might be difficult (or impossible).
Next Step: Setup New Hosting account and move files
So once you have worked out the details on what files and databases (if any) need to be backed up and moved, the absolute easiest way to fully transfer your website hosting and domain registration is to begin by actually setting up the new hosting account with the intended new hosting company. This is usually easy enough, and your new hosting company will be able to guide you through setting up the account, uploading the website files from your local computer to the new host and setup databases when required. This can be done even while your domain name is "live" on the old server still. This allows you to fully prepare your website files on the new server without affecting your live website.
After checking that the files are uploaded and any databases are restored as needed, you should also setup email plans with the new hosting company as well. Many hosting companies provide free basic email services and you can prepare these email accounts beforehand, just like preparing your website hosting and files. This works in much the same way. Your new hosting provider should be able to guide you through setting up your email plans. These will not be "live" with the new server just yet, but preparation is key! If you set everything up first, you are guaranteed to avoid downtime on your website, and outages in your email. You will want to backup any emails that are with your current email provider, if you have not already done so.
The Switch! Change Nameservers to bring the new services live
Once you have prepared your website hosting and email, you are ready to actually switch! Your new hosting provider should be able to provide at least two nameservers for you to "point" your domain to. In simple terms, nameservers are the first basic layer of traffic control for a domain. Changing nameservers affects where the internet goes to find your website and email servers. Therefore, changing nameservers is all that is required to change hosting. Since it also affects email however, it is important that your email accounts are also setup at the new location to avoid interruption of your email.
Finally: Transfer your domain registration
Finally, once you have changed nameservers, you are ready to request the domain transfer. You will want to speak with your new hosting company about their specific procedure, but the basic transfer process requires that privacy options be removed on the domain (if needed), and that the administrative contact email is accurate and updated (Your current registrar can help with this). You will also want to contact your current registrar to ensure the domain is not "locked". Registrar locking prevents unauthorized transfers as well as domain theft, but your current registrar will be able to help you unlock your domain if needed. Once you have unlocked the domain and verified the administrative contact email is up-to date, you can then contact your new hosting provider and request the transfer.
Following the correct steps takes a little bit more preparation work but can save days or weeks in frustration and aggravation while trying to transfer your website hosting and domain registration from one company to another.

Virtuozzo VPS Hosting Is the New Kid on the Virtualization

Many IT departments today struggle on a day to day basis with the inherent limitations that various IT hardware configurations possess. Due to the physical element of these IT resources, they tend to lack flexibility, scalability or seamless efficiency when integrating new applications or reconfiguring existing ones. This challenge is especially so when it comes to handling servers. IT departments or personnel tasked with maintaining servers will tell you one thing, theses servers need a lot of maintenance and they cost a fortune.
However, with the ever recent advances in technology, there is one innovation that has the capacity to solve most of these issues. This technology comes in the form of Virtuozzo Containers. This server virtualization technology leverages the near ubiquitous virtualization technology to create numerous Containers or Virtual Environments on a single OS. The technology further leverages whatever server resources you have and through VPS hosting, enables you to run more applications on dedicated Virtuozzo Containers, all layered onto one physical server with one OS. VPS hosting has continued to spin off numerous innovations and this is just one of them. Due to the utilization of cloud resources to host and run the server applications, the scalability and flexibility of Virtuozzo VPS ensures your IT department spends more time working and less time doing routine maintenance.
With technological advance comes the need to harness this technology and the Virtuozzo Containers realize this capability with superior efficiency. Thorough cost efficient server virtualization architecture, numerous Virtual Environment partitions can be created in parallel to create a virtual environment that can be configured to any number of unique application run-time configurations. These unique Virtuozzo Containers can be configured with libraries, applications and system software to operate in the same way an actual physical server may operate. Server management, migration and scaling can therefore be easily achieved as these virtual environments have easily configurable interfaces that the IT personnel can access from anywhere through dedicated server-side API's.
Virtuozzo VPS offers Virtuozzo Containers as a dedicated service and allows IT departments to concentrate on their core responsibilities. This SaaS service further creates an enabling virtual system that helps companies bring their hardware and maintenance costs down while at the same time ramping up their efficiency and flexibility. VPS hosting may have well and truly caught on but with the integration of Virtuozzo Containers, it can only be said that the technology has now surely come of age.

There's also the desirability over the long term- where gold, and platinum have proved to stand the test of time. A lot of those in the trade feel that palladium is rather a "flash in the pan".
That does not mean you should not buy it, but only our experience.
I'd be interested in other's experiences that have bought it.

In terms of metals' properties, gold is "harder"- but that's not necessarily a good thing.
When a metal is harder, it is also more brittle.
If we're considering 10, 14 or 18karat gold, it's not really an issue- but it also means that platinum's superiority is really unchallenged.

Even though it’s hard to see how it could worth more than the HP Slate 500, Bachman describes the tablet as a “niche market” for HP.
